About me
I guess on a site like this, probably the most important thing is I like weekend getaways. I live in north Columbus and some of you- depending on how much of Ohio you've seen- will recognize the Marblehead Lighthouse behind me in my profile pic. I have found weekend getaways are good because I need to see something different from time to time and I still like staying in hotels because I kind of grew up in them (but no, not in the 24/7/365 sense of being in a hotel). But growing up we'd see a lot of Ohio as Dad would have speaking engagements. And I don't like staying inside Interstate 270 for too long before I need to get out! Lol. Just being in a different environment kind of wakes up the senses. I think I like visiting Cincinnati because it's similar to Columbus not exactly the same. We don't have a Jungle Jim's International Market in Columbus! And that's ok because no matter which aisle I park my car, I'll find at least one Ohio license plate with a county sticker from Central Ohio. And besides, Jungle Jim's doesn't need to be everywhere like Meijer is.
